There is no VPNclient browser extension. The supported way is the desktop app for Windows, Mac or Linux, which covers this browser and every other app on your computer. Sign in with the VPN username and password from My Pass.
What to know first
A browser extension only protects traffic inside that one browser. The desktop app also covers mail, messaging and every other app.
Firefox has its own connection settings, including proxy and secure DNS options, that can differ from the rest of your computer. Check them if something looks wrong.
Extensions can read the pages you visit. Install one only from a publisher you trust, and only from the official Firefox Add-ons site.
XPASS does not link to any Firefox extension, and your My Pass details are meant for the VPNclient app.

Check it works
- With the VPN off, search for "what is my IP" in Firefox and note the address. Connect, reload the page and compare. The address should be different.
- If you use an extension instead, check that it is switched on, and remember that other apps still use your normal connection.
- Open a few websites you use every day to confirm they load.
If something goes wrong
- Firefox still shows your old address. Reload the page, or close Firefox and open it again after connecting.
- Firefox is set to use its own proxy or secure DNS. Open its network settings and check them against your system settings.
- An extension asks you to sign up. XPASS does not link to any extension, so do not enter your My Pass details unless you trust the publisher.
- Pages stop loading after you connect. Disconnect, restart Firefox and connect again.
- Nothing works. Use the Windows or Mac app, which our supplier has confirmed, or contact our support team.
