There is no VPNclient browser extension. The supported way is the desktop app for Windows, Mac or Linux, which covers this browser and every other app on your computer. Sign in with the VPN username and password from My Pass.
What to know first
A browser extension only protects traffic inside that one browser. The desktop app also covers mail, messaging and every other app.
Extensions can read the pages you visit. Install one only from a publisher you trust, and only from the official Chrome Web Store.
XPASS does not link to any Chrome extension, and your My Pass details are meant for the VPNclient app.
If you still try a third-party extension, check its publisher, reviews and permissions first.
Before you start
An active pass. Open My Pass and check it shows days remaining.
Your VPN username and password from My Pass. They are not your XPASS website email.
A Windows PC or a Mac, if you want the desktop app that covers Chrome.
Install and connect
Step 1
Choose the app or an extension
For the most complete protection, install the desktop app for your computer. It covers Chrome and every other app.
Step 2
Install the desktop app
Open the Windows or Mac install guide linked below. Each has its own official download and steps.
Step 3
Sign in
Sign in to the app with the VPN username and password from My Pass.
Step 4
Connect, then use Chrome
Connect in the app, then open or reload Chrome. Chrome now uses the VPN together with the rest of your computer.

Check it works
- With the VPN off, search for "what is my IP" in Chrome and note the address. Connect, reload the page and compare. The address should be different.
- If you use an extension instead, check that it is switched on, and remember that other apps still use your normal connection.
- Open a few websites you use every day to confirm they load.
If something goes wrong
- Chrome still shows your old address. Reload the page, or close Chrome and open it again after connecting.
- A site remembers your old location. Clear the browser cache or try a private window.
- An extension asks you to sign up. XPASS does not link to any extension, so do not enter your My Pass details unless you trust the publisher.
- Pages stop loading after you connect. Disconnect, restart Chrome and connect again.
- Nothing works. Use the Windows or Mac app, which our supplier has confirmed, or contact our support team.
