Getting Started With Your XPASS Pass
A step-by-step walk-through from buying a prepaid XPASS pass to your first working VPN connection.

An XPASS pass is a prepaid VPN with a fixed number of days. You pay once by card, the account is created for you, and you connect with the app or connection profile shown on your account page. This guide walks through the whole path in order: buying, waiting for confirmation, finding your details, setting up a device, connecting and checking the result.
Nothing here needs technical knowledge. If you would like background on what a VPN does first, the How it works page gives a short overview, and the FAQ answers common questions.
Step 1: Choose and buy a pass
- Open the pricing page and compare the pass lengths on offer. A longer pass suits a long trip or a work period; a shorter one suits a single short need.
- Select the pass you want and continue to checkout.
- Enter an email address you can read right away. We send your sign-in link there, so a typing mistake can stop you reaching My Pass.
- Pay by card. Payment is a single one-time charge handled through Stripe. XPASS does not store a subscription against your card and does not renew the pass automatically.

Step 2: Wait for confirmation
After payment, the order page shows a status. Once the payment is confirmed, your VPN account is created automatically with the supplier.
- Delivery is usually quick, but it can take a few minutes.
- Keep the order page open, or come back to it. The status changes when the account is ready.
- Your pass validity starts at the moment the account is created, not when you first connect. There is no benefit to delaying setup, so it is best to configure your device soon after delivery.
If the status has not changed after a reasonable wait, see the troubleshooting section below.
Step 3: Find your details
Your login details and setup instructions are in two places:
- My Pass. Sign in and open My Pass. It shows your pass, the days remaining, your credentials and the connection methods you can use.
- Your email. A sign-in link for My Pass is sent to the address you entered at checkout (login details themselves are never emailed). Search for the sender name if you cannot find the message, and check spam or promotions folders.
Treat these details like a password. Do not post them publicly or share them in screenshots.
Step 4: Set up your device
The My Pass page lists the app or connection profile to use. Follow the instructions shown there, because they match the connection methods on your account.
For step-by-step help on a specific system, use the platform guides:
In general you will install the app or add the connection profile, enter the login details from My Pass, and allow the operating system to add a VPN configuration when it asks. That permission prompt is normal: the system wants your approval before any app can route your traffic.
Step 5: Connect
- Open the app or the system VPN settings and choose the connection you set up.
- Press connect and wait for the status to show that you are connected.
- Most systems display a small VPN indicator, such as a key or VPN symbol, in the status bar or menu bar.

Step 6: Verify the connection
Do a quick check so you know the VPN is actually doing its job:
- With the VPN off, search for "what is my IP" in a browser and note the address shown.
- Connect the VPN and reload that page. The address should be different.
- Open a few ordinary websites to confirm browsing still works.
The guide on checking whether your VPN is working goes further, including DNS checks.
If it does not work
- No details yet. Wait a few minutes, refresh My Pass, and check the order page status. Check spam folders and confirm you typed your email correctly at checkout.
- Login rejected. Copy and paste the details from My Pass rather than typing them, and watch for extra spaces. Check that the pass has days remaining.
- Connects but nothing loads. Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, turn the VPN off and on, and restart the device.
- The system blocks the VPN. Allow the VPN configuration when prompted. Work or school devices may restrict VPN installation.
- Still stuck. Contact support through the help centre with your order details.
Note that a VPN protects traffic between your device and the VPN; it does not make you anonymous or protect you from every threat, and it will not unlock every website. For safer habits on shared networks, see the FTC guidance listed in the references.
Summary
Buy a pass, wait for the confirmation, collect your details from My Pass (open it with the sign-in link in your email), set up your device with the app or profile listed there, connect, and verify that your IP address changes. Your days begin when the account is created, and nothing renews automatically. When you are ready for more time, see how to renew your pass, or browse the pricing page to pick a pass.
Frequently asked questions
When does my pass start counting days?
Validity starts when your VPN account is created after payment is confirmed, not the first time you connect. Connecting later does not give you extra days.
Where do I find my login details?
On your My Pass page once the order is delivered. For security they are never sent by email; we email you a sign-in link to open the page.
What if my details have not appeared yet?
Delivery is usually quick but can take a few minutes. Check the order page for its status, refresh My Pass, and look in your spam folder for the email.
Will my pass renew by itself?
No. XPASS is prepaid with a one-time card payment and has no automatic renewal. You buy more time only if you want it.
Need a VPN for a short trip or a busy month?
XPASS sells prepaid passes for a set number of days. You pay once and nothing renews automatically.
