How to Renew Your VPN Pass
How early renewal works, why unused days are never lost, and what happens when a prepaid pass reaches its end date.

An XPASS pass is prepaid for a fixed number of days, so it simply ends when those days are used up. If you want more time, you renew by buying another pass. This guide explains how to do that from your account, how the days are counted, and what to expect if you wait until the end.
There is no subscription behind your pass. You pay once by card, and nothing is renewed or charged later unless you decide to buy again.
How renewal works
When you renew, the new days are added on top of the days you still have left. Unused days are not lost. For example, if your pass has five days remaining and you add a thirty-day pass, you will have thirty-five days in total.
This means there is no penalty for renewing early. If you are about to travel or start a long work period, you can top up beforehand without worrying about wasting what is left.
Each purchase is a one-time payment handled through Stripe. XPASS does not keep a recurring charge against your card.

Renew from My Pass
- Sign in and open My Pass.
- Check your current pass and the number of days remaining so you know where you stand.
- Choose the option to add more time and select the pass length you want. If you want to compare lengths first, the pricing page lists the options.
- Review the order, then pay by card. The payment is a single charge.
- Wait for the confirmation. The order page shows its status, and delivery is usually quick but can take a few minutes.
- Return to My Pass and check that the days remaining have increased.
Use the same account you signed in with originally so that the new days attach to your existing pass.
What to check after renewing
- Days remaining. The total should equal your previous remaining days plus the new pass.
- Your connection details. My Pass always shows the current app or connection profile and login details. If anything differs from what you used before, follow what the page shows now.
- Your email. Your confirmation and a sign-in link are sent to your email, so look there if My Pass has not updated yet. Login details are never emailed; they are only on My Pass.
If your existing connection stops working after a renewal, disconnect, then reconnect and, if needed, sign in again with the details on My Pass.
What happens at expiry
When the last day passes, the pass ends. In practice:
- The VPN will stop connecting. Your device keeps working on its normal internet connection, but without VPN protection, so avoid sensitive tasks on shared Wi-Fi until you renew.
- Nothing is charged automatically, because there is no auto-renewal.
- You can renew an expired pass from My Pass at any time. After the payment is confirmed, the new days are added to the same pass and you keep the same login details.
If you want to avoid a gap, renew a day or two before the end date. Because remaining days carry over, early renewal never wastes time.

If it does not work
- The days did not increase. Wait a few minutes and refresh My Pass, then check the order page for the payment status. Delivery can take a short while.
- Payment was declined. Check the card details and available balance, or try another card. Your card issuer may also ask you to approve the payment.
- You cannot find the renew option. Make sure you are signed in with the account used for your original purchase. Compare with the steps in getting started.
- You are unsure whether you were charged. Look at the order page and your email for a confirmation. Contact support through the help centre with your order details rather than paying a second time.
Renewing a VPN pass does not change what a VPN can and cannot do. It protects traffic between your device and the VPN, and it is not a guarantee of anonymity or complete security.
Summary
Renew from My Pass by adding another pass. The new days are stacked on top of whatever you have left, you pay once by card, and nothing renews automatically. If your pass ends, the VPN simply stops until you buy more time. To read more about this model, see prepaid vs subscription, or choose your next pass on the pricing page.
Frequently asked questions
Do I lose my remaining days if I renew early?
No. The new days are added on top of whatever days you still have, so renewing early costs you nothing in lost time.
Will XPASS charge my card automatically?
No. Every purchase is a one-time card payment. There is no automatic renewal, and nothing is charged unless you choose to buy another pass.
Where do I start a renewal?
Sign in and open My Pass. Your current pass and remaining days are shown there, along with the option to add more time.
What happens when my pass ends?
The VPN stops working once the days run out and nothing is billed. You can renew the same pass from My Pass whenever you like and keep your login details.
Need a VPN for a short trip or a busy month?
XPASS sells prepaid passes for a set number of days. You pay once and nothing renews automatically.
